Open-Access Option

Authors who choose to pay for their papers to be posted with open access to all readers have a chance to select this option at two times during the submission process: upon submission and within 24 hours of acceptance. The Open Access fee is $2800. Authors who choose open access must submit an e-mail to IEEE Photonics Society staff confirming their acceptance of those charges before their files can be prepared for production. Authors of open-access papers are still subjected to overlength page charges, if applicable.

All open-access papers are marked with a special icon on the Journal's Table of Contents.
